2. What kind of work will my child be doing?
Your child should be working in all major content areas on a daily basis. Some of the content subjects will be distributed on alternate days. Your child’s teacher will be connecting at least twice daily with you and your child to deliver a live lesson. Your child will be available to you to consult on matters related to instruction at the end of each lesson. Your child will be asked to complete daily assignments online and offline.
3. Will my child receive a grade at the end of the school year?
Yes, your child will be required to meet the standards assigned for the third reporting period. The grade will be determined by mastering assessment assignments.
4. What if my child does miss days of instruction?
We want to make possible the least possible disruption to the education of your child, please be punctual and have your child connect with your teacher via Zoom on a daily basis.
5. My child is on a dual language program, will he/she receive instruction in both languages?
Yes, your child should be receiving instruction in both languages the same way he/she would in during regular classroom attendance.
6. Is there a limit to the amount of time my child can spend in any or all the available online programs?
No, there is no limit to the amount of time your child can spend on line, however recommendations set the time from 1 hour daily in Kindergarten to three hours in 4th and 5th grade.
7. Will Teachers provide homework?
No, the regular assignments should be sufficient.
8. Will the teachers provide feedback on student completed work?
Yes, teachers should provide feedback on all submitted and required work.
